my 4eat stage 2 wrx vs S2000

So I am coming down the road, just got back from the gym. My brother sees this sweet black S2000 and I was like hmm.... and damn... those headlights are bright. I slow down to about 40mph. I yell "very nice car, I love the S2000's". So I talk for about 5 seconds and he jumps at 40mph. I jump right after him and proceed to beat him about 2-3 car and I am still pulling. I slow down at about 100mph (because the light in front of me is red). He says "damn those things are quick and my car is stock". Then I preceeded to tell him its an Stage 2 auto. Cool guy and we went out seperate ways.

are you sure he was racing you? S2000 traps around 99mph and pulling 2-3 cars by 100mph is pretty hard to believe... although anything can happen on the street.

LOL yeah he was racing. Remember with a pretty good driver they should trap around 99. My car should also trap at the same time.

pulling 2-3 cars from 40-100mph when two cars trap similarly? something just doesn't sound right. S2000 has pretty decent top-end power.

s2000 has like all top end power. dosent the v tech engage around 7000 rpms?

i raced an s2000 one time from a roll when alls i has was an up and down pipe. it was preety close, but i was about a car lenght ahead

by the time vtec kicks in you would have mauled him with the midrange power and he would start gaining, but by then you woud have shifted and been in the meat of the power in the next gear

not that difficult to believe. Maybe the s2000 wasn't in the right gear and was out of vtec when they punched it.

They might have top end but we only raced from 40-100mph. Remember not every driver can live up to the 14sec "Magazine" tested 1/4mile. Also the driver looked like he was 18.

My brother and I raced a few times when he had his s2k... it really depended on the speed we started. We started around 50mph one time and I ate him up... another time we raced around 65mph and he hung right next to me.

Not hard to believe considering he's at stage 2. I've been at stage two and raced my friend with his bone stock s2k from 60mph to 100mph and we stayed dead even. Once in a while I pulled on him by half a car and vice versa. We raced about 4 times and same results. Also, I shifted to 3rd and so did he.....

it's possible that the s2000 guy didn't know how to drive and the auto shifting might have been quicker than the manual shifting in this case.
