If he was running basic Dinan parts like full exhaust and ECU he would be trapping around or just over 110mph.... which I believe would beat a bolt on Evo at higher speeds. He should have not been a ***** and just ran you.
Everything in my profile is in my car. Also my car is going to be tuned by Ecuteck software after the 272's go in. I will be running 25 psi on 93 octane.

eh, I dont know. He is running intake, exhaust, and boost controller. What kind of traps is that good for, like 106-108mph or so in an Evo? Stock M3 will trap 107mph and with bolt on's about 109mph or so.

they trap around 105 (stock m3's) and i beat them off a roll or stop with just downpipe and cobb stage 2 reflash. I wonder what i'll trap. You think like 106 range?

If you are still Stage 2 with TBE, you will be at least a 106 trap. With good conditions and great driving, a 108 is possible. I did it once, with a crappy 12.88 time though.

I would say you are trapping about 106-107mph.

    M3 trapping 105mph
Even the magazines that are getting 1/4mile times of 13.3-13.6 are getting traps of 106/107mph. With drivers that have accustomed themselves to the car and are good drivers you see times around 13.2 and traps in the 107mph range.
Not to be a bench racer but Motor Trend got a 13.2 @ 107mph, Car and Driver got a 13.4@106mph and some Euro mag (forgot the name) acheived a 13.4 @ 107mph.

Again, you cannot go completely off mag times, but usually once real enthusiests get ahold of the cars you see better times than the mags got... and I happen to know that many completely stock 6spd and SMG M3's are trapping 106/107 with a few freaks in the 108 range.

well, stock sti supposedly traps at 105mph according to some mags

car-stats.com has sti at 105mph and it also has m3 at 105mph, weird.

    interesting............

Motor Trend's 105mph trap is kind of like when Car and driver ran a 14.1 in the wrx. It is done few and car between but RARELY seen. Even YB007 or whatever ran a 12.9 in his stock STi (phenominal driver) and still only managed a 103.8 mph trap. Lets not forget all the other guys around around there running very low 13's (13.1-13.3) and trapping 103/104. And the fact that only 1 reputable mag has been able to achieve a trap of 105mph. WHERE AS the M3 has seen 106/107 traps in SEVERAL mags and even more in real life (contrary to the STi's inability to reproduce a consistant 105mph trap).

From car-stats.com (the website you are quoting).

    2001 M3 = 107mph trap (obtained in 2001)
    http://car-stats.com/stats/showstats...tsgivenid.aspx

    2002 M3 = 107mph trap (obtained in 2002)
    http://car-stats.com/stats/showstats...tsgivenid.aspx

    2002 M3 SMG = 106mph trap (obtained in 2002)
    http://car-stats.com/stats/showstats...tsgivenid.aspx

So while the STi has managed less than a handful of 105mph traps and a hell of a lot more 103mph traps, while the M3 is averaging 106/107mph traps, not only in mags, but also on the boards (with a hanful hitting 108mph traps) I think it is safe to say I was rather correct here.

yeah i definitely agree with you, not arguing with you. Or else stock stis would keep up off a roll with m3's.
