Smoked an EVO form a 75mph roll......

Went to Kingpin again to have the Front Brembos put on my car and party with the guys for Clark's birthday....and on the way up there there was an EVO, we went from a 75mph roll on the 10freeway in the middle of the desert and I handed him his arse by a good 5 cars by the time we hit 110 or so, dont remember looking exactly......

Funny thing is we went at it 2-3 times, then he stopped in blythe as we did, and it was the same guy who my brother worked by a good 7-8 cars in his M3.....tag team.....

    What a coincidence.......

04WRX, gutted UP, Stromung TBE, FMIC, ECUtek......Stock turbo and lovin it........
I think he was stock seemed louder, but may have had DP, but for sure that was stock catback......Not bad though.......of course his 1st comment was...."that an STi"

Sounds like someone couln't drive their Evo. You are saying you had ~600 more lbs in your car and smoked an Evo?

Mod for mod, it still is no competition. Evo kicks all Subaru ass in performance. So what does this mean? If you bought your Suby because you wanted to beat Evo's all day long then your screwed. If you bought it because you wanted a fast awd do almost anything pocket rocket your still in good shape.
I personally think suby's especially the bugeyes look better than Evo's. Our (this is soooo gay) interiors are far better, and safetywise and on reliability we kill Mitsu's hands down. But on performance, no contest. The same goes for those srt4's. When you get tired of flooring it at every stoplight though, the suby is a far better all around car, and value, agian no contest. The suby is by far the best blend of talents, and that's why it is always getting good marks in comparo's ie the latest Car and Driver sport compact challenge. The Suby came second behind the RSX, and head of the SRT4, CobaltSS, Redline.
I still do not see how the RSX won though. It doesn't hold a candle to a wrx as far as value is concerned. If you start having kids the RSX is toast (no room) and in the winter/rain they suck hard. Performance out the box is lacking badly. If SRT4's didn't fold like noodles in crashes (typical neon) then it would crush the RSX hands down, especially for being a 4 door.

yeah. Not saying he is lying, but realistically, a stageII wrx will not put 5 + cars on a properly driven Evo, especially at 75mph+. Not to mention you thought the Evo had a DP which makes it even more odd because he should be walking you then, not losing by 5 cars.

    Either way, nice run

I have to agree. A well driven Evo will put a hurting on a stg 2 wrx especially mod for mod. Just look at the traps between the two. 101 v's 104ish.

If you are talking about 1/4 mile sure, but on a road course it is pretty close to dead even (05+ STi vs 05 Evo that is.)

Are you sure it was an Evo? There are so many oz rally edition lancer around with the Evo wing on. A stock turbo wrx putting 5 cars on an Evo up top 4th gear on the wrx blows.

Evo will still run a road course quicker, especially mod for mod.

With a FMIC and a stock WRX turbo, I can't, especially in 4th gear.
