heh....but I've learned from these forums...nothing can beat a wrx...

    You can rally anything.

""On these roads, a 2WD car has wheel spin all the way up to 100 mph in some places," Shepherd said. "The SRT-4 has outstanding handling, so we could out-handle the all-wheel-drive cars where we couldn't out-accelerate them, and that kept us in the top-10 [overall].""

    sorry

(i actually like srt-4 to some extent...just not all the owners. and there ARE some cool owners out there..kurleedadee who posts here is one of them.)
    Somebody thinks I'm cool. Thanks.

Once again I would like to say that I have owned both a WRX and an SRT-4 now and they are both fun cars to drive.WRX's have their drawbacks as well as SRT-4's. It comes down to what really suits you and what you buy the car for. If you live on the East Coast and have to deal with snow all the time, there should be no other choice but AWD. If you like a cheap and relatively inexpensive car with gobs of torque, get an SRT-4.

This WRX vs. SRT-4 subject will never die, kinda like Camaro vs. Mustang. But try to be respectful to the owners of both cars. There are people from both sides of the fence that are pricks and make a bad name for the brand of car they drive. But there are a lot more owners from both sides of the fence that are super nice and are into modifying ALL cars for performance or whatever.

As some people here know i used to have a stg4 rex. Long story short i had to sell her . I've been drivin my 05 srt4 for about a month and a half. The only real diff is the lack of AWD. Both cars come with very similar amenities. To say its just a neon is like saying a lambo is just a tractor. You could also say your STI is just an wrx, but its not. It's a SPECIAL model of a certain car. I give both cars a huge .
    Used to have stg4 wrx. stuck w/ stg0 srt4

SRT is reasonably priced, nice performance. However, I rather drive WRX. Don't really like neon on steroid.

I thought stock srt-4s were putting down like 230-240 whp. Are you saying a cobb stage 2 wrx w/up pipe (220-230whp) would win in the 1/4?

these forums are wierd, how do i change it so that the original post is page one, and the replies go top to bottom. I'm so confused here lol.

The wrx seemed more fun to drive in my book. If i wanted the straightline speed so bad i'd get a v8, not a four cylinder.

but just remember the next time you put down your rear power windows with a switch and take off fast in the rain from a stop that our cars win everything on a drive paved road. but seriously though if your talking about real world every day cars for comfort and noise and milage and praticality (sp) then the srt falls short. but thats y it's 20k and based on a neon. it goes fast for cheap.
