I was at a local track for an event yesterday afternoon and on the way home I ran into one of the cars that had been running seperate from the event and had been laying down some decent times. Pretty good setup on the car, speedholes in the bumper and all.
We did a few runs usually from about 60'sh to ~110'sh in that time I put about 3 - 4 carlengths on him. I'm positive that the outcome would have been MUCH different had he not had 4 people in the car(I had 2). For a car that clocks in at ~2400lbs adding another 600 or so is a pretty big deal.
Highlight of that cruise was when we started to get away from the country roads in the middle of no-where and into town. We picked up a truck full of children that wanted to play. They were revving and what not, so I bit. As the cross light turned red I opened it up and the 5K rpm studder box kicked in, they looked relatively shocked cause my crapheaps loud as hell and when the light turned green they launched. . . and I turned right. It was hillarious.
