350Z vs WRX 18G...from a roll

I went for a drive tonight becasue I was bored and it was stuffy in the house. So I went for a drive on this long road in my area and on the return trip I come to a light. Paying attention to the light and half dazed I didn't notice a car coming up along side me. I looked over and all I saw were these HIDs but no car. A second later I see a white car edge up only halfway on my passenger side....it was a 350Z

. It was white with tinted windows and looked oh so sweet. Now when a car only comes up halfway that usually means they don't want any part of you. So now I'm all itchy because I have yet to try my luck with my new setup. I'm listening for any idea from him if he is interested, but no revs and I can't see him. Light turns green and I ease out with him waiting for him to punch it.....Nope....nothing

. We roll up to another light and this is it....1/2 mile of open road. Light turns green and we roll out at a good pace. I'm in second and figure this is all BS. I start to give about 1/3 throttle and shift into third coming up on 60mph. Around 60 mph here he comes out of my blind spot full throttle. He was waiting to hit that 60mph spot that 350Zs love so much because of their gearing and he was going for it. In the second I saw him come along side me hard I punched it and the boost came on hard in 3rd gear and pulled away from him. In the time I looked in my mirror and saw him falling back I noticed that the speedo was at 120

. I hit the brakes and slowed down only for him to do a flyby on me and not slow down. I wanted to pull along side him and complement him on his car because it was really something nice. He turned off at a light and kept going so I guess I'll see him again sometime since he wasn't too far from my home.

I was really impressed with the performance of my Zilla 18G. I knew it pulled real hard compared to my Deadbolt VF30, but the way it pulls above 4500 rpms is nothing like my VF30 could do. I also understand why 350Z owners like to go from a roll, their top gearing is really impressive from what I saw tonight.

i raced a 350z from a roll and i wasn't impressed. i only had a vf34 then.

I ran into one of madsti's buddies when I had my 18g setup. We didn't go from a roll, it was funny to say the least.

You should kill an 18g from any gear at any time...

Only turbo z's own and 18g and even then it depends...

I'm going to dyno my car after my new intercooler gets here next week. I should make another 10-15 from the better cooling and increased flow of a bar and plate design.
