I think 1/4mile times are only in the mid 14's though. Still nonetheless, its a decent car compared to that bastardized piece of sh!t they try and call a 3g eclipse.

    I agree though, 05' GTO = secks
When you say "walk a stock wrx pretty damn hard" are you talking about mph at the quarter? Because it doesn't matter if you're truly on a track. It could trap 99 in 1/4 but if it has a 2.5 60-foot it won't matter because the stock rex will be well on its way by then - at least with a good driver. If it ETs at mid-14s, that's on par with a stock WRX as far as 1/4-mile times.

I looked at the '04 GTO late last year when I bought my WRX. They were unloading the leftovers for $24,900. If it weren't RWD I would've been all over that. They are very nice-looking cars.

Stainless long tube headers run around $799.00 with race pipes or high flow cats your looking at about $1100.00

I got in on a group buy and saved about $150

Guys are seeing about 25 rwhp from headers on the 05 GTO. Thats a nice HP increase but it does cost quite a bit.

I suppose, but there are on the mustang as well and they're priced within reason.

I payed $1,479 for my headers-back to the mufflers... If you break that down :

~ $900 headers (dont forget there are 2)
    ~ $200 High flow cats
    ~ $300 X pipe

When I said walk a stock wrx pretty damn hard I was refering to a higher speed rolling race (for instance: 60-120mph or 50-100mph) this is due to the superior gearing in the Eclipse and N/A power that wont drop off like the wrx's td04 does. Not to mention the Eclipse traps about 5mph higher
60' is worth nothing when talking about rolling races, because the 60' does not exist in that circumstance.

But yes, a 1/4mile race would be close, but I would still give the win to a properly driven WRX over the Eclipse from a dig.

Didn't know the 4G's were out yet. I have to admit the inside looks good and you take away the fugly front end and you might have something. Unfortunately, the FI is missing and at 3500lbs it weighs slightly less than a WW2 I-Class Battleship.

I think I will still see a lot of dental hygenists driving them to work in the AM!

All I've seen is high 14s for this car and girls driving it. The torque steer must horrible, also why is thing so heavy. It's up there with V8s.

3500? That is pretty damn close to what my car weighs. And The power isn't very close between the two.
