a WRX can do the 1/4 in the mid 14's, but thats at only 93ish MPH, to 100mph its more like 15+ seconds. So I would be willing to bet that the little FWD RS would hang with a rex.

Perhaps this should serve as wake up call for Subaru to inject some more horsepower and some better handling characteristics into the WRX. ::hint hint:: ::nudge nudge::

The RS Cosworth will be here in 2005 or early 2006.....300 hp 300 tq AWD. I read it in a press release but I dont remember where. It is to directly compete with the STi and EVO.

yea what the hell, ever heard of cosworth??? ford doesnt screw around with the focus. Think of the focus/ new escort (U.S.) as being parallel with the 2.5RS. Across the sea there are a few rally cars with the blue oval... so come on, show a lil rally respect

    A SPECIALIZATION OF FORD

Ford gives to fight to the Mitsubishi?Evo? and Subaru WRX ST14 with the not less spectacular Focus Cosworth, another accredited WRC to handle it by the street with more of 300hp, integral traction, and aesthetic super a sport one.

The front defense is the typical one of the WRC
    Reserved Right MPT
This hypersport version, derived from Focus WRC of the World-wide one of Rallies, that Ford glides to have list for its commercialization at the end of 2002 in Europe, introduces numerous structural changes in the frame that affect therefore to the suspensions and rolling trains. The work has been shared with the engineers in charge of the development of the X-Type Jaguar, who have collaborated in the definition and completion of the frame and transmission of the Focus Cosworth. The propellent developed by Cosworth uses the block of four cylinders of 2 liters of Ford, deeply modified, to which has been gotten up it I disturb in the feeding system, with which the power has raised until impressive 310 HP; a value that guarantees, according to Ford, that the Focus Cosworth accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in only 5 seconds.

The superior aileron is the main difference of the back part
    Reserved Right MPT
Potential resemblance seems not to see itself reflected in all its dimension in its outer aspect. Is even something cautious for which normally they have been the Cosworth versions and what they are his Japanese rivals. However, their enormous rims of 18 inches and frontal "aired" his expose that we are before pure musculatura. The frontal is taken from version RS of 235 HP and front traction, with an immense mouth of inferior refrigeration that guarantees the air supplying for the radiators of water, oil and intercooler. Characteristic aesthetic characteristics in their outside emphasize the three takings of refrigeration in the coffer like in the front defense and the discreet back aileron.

Too bad they don't sell the Focus RS here. They should take a hint from Dodge and the SRT-4.
FWD suxxors, but those are still cool cars.

I'd probably still take my wrx over a Focus RS, but at 300hp/300torque awd turbo I'd have to take a very serious look at it. My guess would be that they would make it price competitive in the 25k range, which would be a better deal than the sti in terms of pricing, but that is just a hunch... It could be an excuse to hike the price of the svt cobra sky-high... The next series of product lines for Ford will decide what happens to the company. Sure their F-150 supposedly sell great but tbh here in truckland Fords haven't been in style for a long, long, long time...

If you people haven't figured out yet, Ford sucks in America. Their other cars from europe are just amazing....especially the cosworth line....And who wouldn't want to have a 300hp awd turbo focus that would be a perfect match for some one in an sti thinking, "It's just a focus...."
