Porsche Cayenne Turbo vs. my R32

I was on the expressway, when i see this porsche cayenne next to me. I didn't really think anything of it until i saw it pass me and i read on its trunk... TURBO. That put a smile on my face. I start to speed up a little bit and pass it slowly to see if it wanted to go. There were two gentlemen in the car, one was around his mid 40's and the other in his 30's. I see the car take off and he gets next to me again. At this point, theres a car in front of him, but i already had downshifted to third going around 45 mph. He gets into my lane and floors it, once i notice him floor it from behind, i floor it too. I see him behind me and he wasn't catching up at all, till about 100mph when i saw him actually starting to walk me. He got to about my trunk, was a car behind initially when we were completely even. At this point, i let off, he was in the lane next to me. He floors it again and gets in front of me. I just follow behind him, and every time he would floor it, i would try to stay on him as much as i could. It usually took him till 100mph to start walking me, but it was quite evident that beast had power over 100mph.

all in all, it was fun runs. We waved, he gave me a thumbs up and i gave him it back, and we went our separate ways. I like those runs, even when i 'lose'.




Ok... hypothetical question. My friend just got a 98 BMW 750 and wants to race me in the sl500. What do u think the outcome will be ? From a stop and from a roll?

I think you'll beat the Bimmer in the Benz. I don't remember the 750iL's being that fast...but I'm not completely sure.

Thats a sweet run with the Cayenne Turbo.
I know that the 750iL has a 12 cylinder. Not sure how much horsepower they are putting out though. I think your benz could definetely take it though. I'll try to find out the specs.

I just checked car-stats.com for the Bimmer. Doesn't look good for him at all, even if that is magazine racing.

I followed a 750L working through traffic up to ski at Taos a few months back and each time we would dive out of the line to overtake I was able to stay right with him (going from 45-50 to 80-90). I was stock '02 wagon with two others and all our gear for a week and he was alone, but it is at 8,000ft.
BTW, when we got through the traffic and reached where the road starts to wind, we just took him. That 5 liter V12 may be quick, but the tank it's in can't corner...

im in greece right now, but before i left, we ran into each other on the expressway. Him in his 750 and i was in my r32... hehehe. It wasnt even funny, i had an extra passenger and so did he... we did it from 30, 40, 50, 60mph to 120mph. I had him every time by at least 2-3 and from 30 and 40 mph i had him by at least 4 car lengths. The car over 100mph would stay even with me, but i would have already pulled a couple of cars in front, so it wasnt even a chance for him. From a stop, i would completely annihilate him.

The Turbo Cayenne is a Twin Turbo V8 making 450hp
