    Sweet Revenge: STI vs C5

Ran into the same yellow vette that I raced a few months back. Except this time he has gauge pillar on the side

He switched lanes as we're coming to a stoplight and he wouldn't look at me. I didn't feel like being an ass this time so I didn't throw a rev. We both took off like normal and as I was about to shift into 2nd he punches it. I hung for maybe through second but as soon as he grabbed traction I was toast. 4 cars on me easy.

He slowed down and we both exchange thumbs up. We punched it again going about 50mph or so and same if not a more convincing result. That baby was whining and burning rubber.

This old guy is a blast, he modded his car and I bet his been waiting to meet me ever since. Oh, and notice he didn't wanna go from a stop this time

I have a K&N Typhoon and running a straight pipe after the midpipe. Last time I ran him was from a stop. I edge him by a half a car up to 80. Its time to 1 up him with a bigger snail now.

That thing f'n fast. I'm not sure even a STI stg 2 can keep up with it from a roll....

If he pulled away that easily, then if he had a decent set of drag radials, you'd be toast from a stop too.

In some cases, that is true. However, not all older peeps with a Vette is going through midlife crisis. There are many older people who have always had either Corvette or hotrods throughout their life, these people just love sports car or hodrods and isn't going through midlife crisis, it is their passion.
