WRX VS Shelby Kit Car (SB 306 400hp)

his car was about 2000lbs or so he said.

Mind you this was all done on pump gas and in low boost mode (note 13 psi)

Killed him off the line while i smoked mah clutch nice and good (whoopssie daisy)

he never realy caught up after that, granted we only got about an 1/8th of a mile down before i decided to back off due to a stop light. Guy was fen amazed that a lil 4 door subaru with a turbo smoked his pride and joy. And he claimed about a mid 12 sec pass in the quarter which would put him in the high 12's low 13's on the street. Not bad i suppose. Got to give it up for VISHNU, they realy do know how to put a kit together.

    Oh and im not stock

So what are you running in the 1/4 mile?? What are your mods? Or are you not allowed to tell? Just curious at what beast you have to beat a 12 sec. car...

One of these figures ain't right. A 2000 pound car with 400hp would be like a WRX with 600! Now sure gearing, torque, etc. etc. are all factors - but that should be one smokin' ride!

I can't help but think back to the race that was posted on clubrsx where a 12 second Eagle Talon TSi came up to a 'Vette and tried to race it. The 'Vette peeled out for a few seconds off the line and teh Talon was beating it through the 1/8 mile, but when the 'Vette hooked up it was over...btw, the 'Vette was the 9 or 10 second Ligenfelter (sp) one...so in essence, it is believable that he took him to an 1/8 mile since the AWD gives you a distinct advantage from the start. However, I doubt it would have held over the course of a 1/4 mile run. Weight vs. hp...that thing would have to be a monster.

I have that video clip on my PC. It's NUTS. That Lingenfelter is just AMAZING. INSTANT tire-frying SQUIRT acceleration. Nuts...

Yea, that's one of the most amazing cars I've ever seen. I've never seen anything cut a gap that quickly - and to think those poor kids in the Talon thought they had dusted the 'Vette.

just goes to show you, you never know what the guy has in his car next to you
