I'm assuming this was a older late 90's lightning we're talking about?
or are we talking one of the new ones?
Cause if you pulled on him really hard and aren't flinging crap, then you either stole the hit pretty badly or he wasn't racing you.
I hate fords but wouldnt mind owning a lightning. I detail this one some rich guys has, its a blast to drive, especialy on some twisty roads, nothing scares the crap out of a on-coming car better then a pickup coming out of a blind corner like a raped ape. From driveing the two, stock for stock STi is faster all the way. But doesnt burn tire as good as the lightning for some reason

Nice, I just love beating Lightnings. I've beaten every Lightning I've ever raced on the street. I guess I'm just lucky, because I've seen some really fast ones at the track.
I met a guy with a Lightning not too long ago that had all the usually stuff
Upgraded Aftercooler, pulley,,chip, gears, exhaust, etc + 150 shot of NOS!!
He was blasting 7 sec 1/8 mile times at our local track.
