Mini-EVO vs WRX Shooutout @ Cecil County Dragway, April 30.

    http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=743056

Its $35 to get in to race at Cecil and $50 to compete, winner takes all.

    ie- $50 x 8 cars = $400 to 1st place.

    Other details:
    Single elimination
    Heads up
    Everything else, fair game

We may have two sponsors for the mini-event who will award the winner with discounts at their prospective shops (ie- Xotic Motorsports (http://www.xoticmotorsports.com/) and New Freedom Performance (http://www.newfreedomperformance.com/). Possibly something for the runner up as well.

So are the Evos going to be regular sized or just really small?

Sounds like it'll be a good time. Hope someone gets some video footage!

    SZ49 from Deadbolt.

    On pump gas (93 octane) it dyno'ed 375 whp / 307 wtq @ ~21 psi

    On race gas (C16) it dyno'ed 452 whp / 381 wtq @ ~28 psi

The 11.8 @ 118.6 was ran on the pump gas tune, with added 110 octane and abit more boost, ~25-26 psi. Estimated power was ~400 whp.

This past weekend I ran 11.9 @ 121.8, that with a blown lower uppipe gasket, so spool up was horrendous. Each gear change had me falling out of boost BAD.

To put it into perspective... with the uppipe leak and no flatshifting I ran 12.2 @ 117 w/1.954 sixty foot. Next run I flatshifted ONLY 3->4 and by staying into boost it yeilded the 11.9 @ 121.8, w/1.865 sixty foot.

All runs were on a bone stock WRX tranny, stock WRX pressure plate and an ACT disc.

This week I pick up the TXS/PPG dogbox and with it I am installing a BPM lightweight flywheel and SPEC 6-puck clutch.

Looking to get some 1.7s and flatshift all the way out... hopefully I'll run 11.2-11.4 @ 122-124. We'll see...

Nope.... its soooo slow on Saturday's, you really don't need to. You can literally run back to back to back... almost like NASCAR lapping!
