    02 wagon vs Lightening.....

    MY FIRST RACE WITH COBB STAGE 2!!!!...

    so i was heading home tonight and i spot this beautiful blue svt lightening...and i speed up to catch up to him he makes a left at a light where my way is heading to the right...but i chase him just to see how i would hold up now that im at stage 2...i raced an svt lightening before and he handed me my ass after 2nd gear...so i figure this is a good way to see how much extra oomph the AP gives me...
    we first have a few cars between us then he is way up there and spots me behind him so he waits for me...i pass the car in front of me and pull up next to him cruising at around 40mph. he looks over to see if i was going to race and i give him a little nod and start giving it gas...so he guns it....i downshift to 2nd but its already too late he got a bit of a lead..i would say about half a car...he begins to walk me through 3rd and i shift into 4th and we stick with him about a car and a half in front...because the upcoming light was red...this was perfect because we have no cars in front of us and the street up ahead is 2 lanes both ways with a big median and no where for cops to hide... he signals me to roll down my window and when i do he yells at me all excited "OFF THE HOLE BABY, OFF THE HOLE!!!" so i smile and agree as we both look forward the light turns green....i rev up to about 4-4.5 and ease off the clutch i still manage to spin the tires a bit but then take off the line like a bat out of hell....i hear him spinning tires for a sec and then i see him in my drivers side mirror...im guessing i had 2 cars on him...and held it throughout 3rd gear where we had to let off again because of another upcoming light that was red...he passes me and is signaling me to give chase but i didnt feel like it because there was another light that was kinda close...so i ease up a bit and we reach the next light...

    this time im the first car up and hes behind me...with a car next to us...so i pass the car next to me and let him get even and he does 3 honks this time...we take off at about 40mph ....since now my windows are down i hear his supercharging whining like crazy next to my ear...but i begin to slightly pull in 2nd....we shift to 3rd and i have him at my rear door...close to my rear bumper...then a car pulls into my lane so i let off...he flys by..and i get behind him... we reach construction so there ends the spiriting drives...

    he pulls up next to me and i compliment him on his sick sounding lightening and ask him what he has done to it...he says its just a cat back exhaust...and then he says "what the hell do you got in that sh*t because i know you ain't stock!!!" the smile on my face could never be explained but i told him i had a full exhaust and a chip (i think its the best way to explain the AP) and he says again that my "sh*t is running hard as hell!" and we part ways......

    i dunno if it makes a difference but do you have 93 oct in co? and yeah i raced a STOCK one when i had my tbe and he RAPED me after 2nd gear...thats why im soo excited now

    Sounds like you had a great time. Good job. Last night I met a kid with a lightning that runs 10.9 1/4 miles passes. That thing sounded demonic.

    nice kill. A friend of mine(who used to have a rex) has a lightning with chip,intake,and pully and runs 12.9@106.
