ok ok....the mods will crush this but still it is a kill.....my unc tarheels beat Illinois tonight against many odds. It's not a car but based on the struggles these seniors have had the past few years they deserve a spot in the kills forum.

i wanted illini to win. i guess at least my school retains their status as being the only university in illinois wining ever the NCAA basketball championship... back in 1963!

Against many odds? The line had UNC favored...

For as poorly as Illinois shot (season low), and the disparity between the shots from the charity stripe, I'm amazed that the game was that close. Huge credit to Illinois for being soooo close after a spectacular season. UNC did what they had to do to win, and they managed to barely escape with the win, so I have to give them credit too I guess.

When I talk about against odds I am referring more to that fact that you have to understand how pathetic these guys were 2 years ago, they were 8-20, these seniors were the worst team in unc history so to come back and win it all is what I meant by overcoming the odds. Also, IL had been ranked #1 for most of the year and most of the writers were picking IL to win despite the actual vegas odds.

I'm going to enjoy the moment because the whole team is gonna go pro and they will be starting 3 freshman next year in recovery mode.

If you read my original post you will see why I stuck it in here....but even I am surprised that day's later it has not been relocated. The kills forum was just a joke........oh yea, the 2 seconds will last until November when they start all over again.
