One thing you all have to remember is the MR2 is a 91. That means it's 14 years old - probably 15 years since it first hit the road. When your WRX is 15 years old we'll see how well it runs against a one-year old car. I had both a 93 MR2 turbo with lots of mods and the 04 WRX until I sold the Toyota a couple months ago. The MR2 was technically faster and felt a lot faster, but the WRX was much more smooth. And while your WRX might be faster and I love my WRX, the styling of the 91-95 MR2 was way ahead of its time as was the engineering. They still look great - more sporty by far than most cars - and the people who own them tend to take really good care of them.

As for who wins the race, like somebody said, stop talking and start racing.

For you MR2 owners, are you planning on attending the national MR2 meet at Heartland Park Topeka in June? It's supposed to be the biggest North American MR2 meet ever. Drags, road course, show 'n shine and new friends. Check it out at www.mr2oc.com.

The mr2s in Japan had more power than the US models. In 94, the 3rd gen 3sgte was installed and bumped the hp to about 240. I saw a best motoring video of one run a 13.6. But the US never got that motor. My friend did a swap he runs low 12s almost into the 11s. All he has is a tbe, boost controller, intake, and a intercooler.

I doubt I'll make the meet. Don't have the time.

    1991 Toyota MR2 8.5 16.3

    1993 Jaguar XJR-S Coupe 7.0 15.2
    1991 Mazda RX-7 Infini IV 7.0 14.9
    1993 Mazda RX-7 5.5 14.0
    1993 Mazda RX-7 R1 5.3 13.9

My point is simple, the Gen II MR2 is NOT fast for what it is.. You compare it to cars of it's time and it still doesn't match up yet it's lighter then any other car.

There really is no sense to it all it's just each others opinion.
