anyhow, here's how to do it if you want to install it.
-neg. side of battery off whenever doing work on a car!
-Remove 2 screws from center gauge cluster platic outer piece.
-remove 3 screws from gauge cluster itself.
-remove the 3 wire harnesses from the back of the gauge cluster.
-take the gauge cluster totally out and put it to the side.
-set you shift lite where you want it on your dash or what not.
-screw it down or velcro or something.
-run the 3 wires down the side and push them behind the rubber molding.
-ground the black wire to the hood release latch bolt on bottom.
-run the red wire to a 12v constant, i used the one that i used for my gauges.
-run the long green wire up under the dash and pull it out throught the place where the gauge cluster sits.
-looking at the steering wheel, the wiring harness on the far right is the one you want to mess with. its the tach. one.
-remove the elect. tape.
-find the SOLID GREEN wire and remove about a 1/2" of the rubber coating.
-tape the green wire from the shift lite to the SOLID GREEN wire.
-wrap it thoroughly with elect. tape.
-retape the harness together.
-reinstall the gauge cluster.
-reinstall the 3 screws.
-reinstall the outer piece and the 2 screws.
-reconnect the neg. side of the battery.
-start up car and it should lite up....
-if not, check where you ground it, then the 12v constant...
There you have it.... hope this helps anyone who might want one of these.... if you have it in, let me see some pix of where you have it installed.![]()
