Lots of random slowness and double posting...

    Hello new owner guys!

Welcome! Glad to have you aboard and all that jazz...

Doesn't seem like it's been mentioned, but I have heard others say it as well: Since you guys have taken over, there has been some problems at times with general posting slowness, as well as double posts happening. I'm a pretty frequent poster with probably between 8-10 posts a day on week days, and I have to say that I get a double post roughly 35-40% of the time. I always go back and delete the second post though just so not to take up space and clutter threads. It usually occurs after clicking Submit, and waiting 15-20 seconds. Then a message will pop up asking "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" and then bam: double post.

Many other posts and even some browsing actions are taking more than 5-10 seconds to load.

Would you mind looking into this? If you would like some help troubleshooting or anything, feel free to let me know...I'm an IT guy by profession

    Thanks!

I said "no" to that pop up, and boom, no DP happened. Granted it shouldn't happen anyways, but that is a work around.

Q: do the double posts count double, also? Way to go for post hogs.

    hey guys,

Sorry about the delay getting back to you on the issue. Are you still noticing a issue with site speed and double posting? The slowness could be caused by the ads we have now put on the forum. They tend to load up before the page content. If you find there is a time during the day where the forum is extremely slow could you post here with the time (including time zone) and how long it took the page to load.

    thanks
