Thread notifications via email are approx. 8 hours late

I am subscribed to over 100 threads via "instant email notification". Here are a few of them:
Where did you put your boost gauge and phone dock?
WRX Sparks many reactions from different people

I peruse the site usually in the morning, posting and commenting (read: trolling) throughout the day. The past week or two, I don't receive notifications of any new replies in them until about 2pm.

I don't know if I'm the only one, so I'm posting here. No idea where else to do it.

I've noticed this as well. I get a slow trickle of near-constant emails about posts which are at least 4+ hours late. It seems to lag particularly slowly on hot threads.

I'll try unsubscribing from a bunch and see if it speeds up, but I'd imagine the mods would be seeing this as well.

Thread notifications...wow, I turned that off some time in 2004, I think. I was being deluged...

Hopefully Justin can chime in with an actual "helpful" answer; I think he mentioned a vBulletin upgrade that has just been done to the site. It's possible that there's a connection.

Sorry, I would have chimed in with "Yay! It's not just me!" earlier, but, well, I didn't get a notification that any of you had replied.

I'll probably get it on my way home from work.

And yes, I want to say that it coincided with the vbulletin upgrade that happened also. Around the same time, I saw that the "What's New" page changed.

etnpnys, let me know at what time you receive the next email notification for this thread. I believe the problem was that there's so many emails being sent out our email queue is getting backed up and it'll take a few minutes for me to get it all caught up.

I got it! It does seem to be speeding up. I'm getting a tidal wave of emails. Literally 10-15 every two or three minutes.
