2013 STI with Rebuilt Title, worth it?

    What is this actually worth?

Subaru WRX Limited Wagon 4 Door | eBay

I talked to the guy on the phone. It was off the road for a year after it was hit in the left front fender from the side. Wheel, suspension, fender, bumper, hood, battery, battery tray, and most importantly apron was replaced. All replacement parts were OEM. Apron is not spot welded; it is welded by hand. Guy who put it all back together has worked in a bodyshop for 20 years so I'm not too worried about the finish.

What I am worried about is damage to the driveline. I have heard of Subaru owners doing serious damage to their AWD system just by driving on the spare tire too long. What should I be looking out for? What else could possibly be damaged that won't be immediately apparent? What effects might there be from being off the road for a year? Thinking along the lines of old fluids, etc.

What is this thing worth? KBB is 26-28k depending on condition at 10k miles. I've heard 30-40% off for rebuilt titles. Opinions?

This would be my DD to keep the miles off my new S4.

    Thanks!
    -Jay-

That's not an STI and I wouldn't pay 20k+ for a wrx with a rebuilt title. Stay away and look else where.

I was under the impression it actually is a mislabeled STI due to the engine. Is the 2.5 also available on the WRX?

The problem when suspension is damaged is that it's never the same again

Not an sti, and for a rebuilt car I wouldn't even pay 20k

    I'll buck the trend here.

I daily drive a 2008 WRX that is an R title. Bought it for $8.5k with 95,000 miles. It has been completely reliable apart from the clutch pedal issue that plagues these cars, which I fixed. That being said, I wouldn't pay the asking price for that car. If you could see it in person, test drive it, and talk them down a couple grand, it could be a good car. But it's not a STi, that's for sure (and it's not advertised as such).
