A friend might be interested in this...

So what do you guys think, those more knowledgable of the bugeyes? What are some things for him to look into, pick at, etc. To me this looks pretty clean other than the salvaged title. I would offer 4k and see where it goes from there. Thoughts?

Edit: and crappy paint job, but he doesn't care much he wanted it for a beater.

That car makes me uncomfortable. But maybe it is just cosmetic? The paint seems strange- like it was put on in a halfhearted manner. (notice how every thing got painted over, including the trunk lock, inner door locks, antenna base and parts of the wheel well liner, and how the original WRB paint shows on the A-pillar in the pic with the registration sticker in the window). I bet that WRB specks will show through as the paint inevitably gets worn. Also, the hood scoop seems to be ill-fitting on one side. I hope that the paint job is not an indication of how the other repairs went (I see that the fuel pump cover in the trunk is rumpled, indicating that the rear-end damage went in pretty far).

If you're dead set on that car, it's best to go see it in person because the photos appear to be covering up some things (like the whole inside of the trunk with floor mats).

Keep in mind, I'm posting this here for a friend who is interested. I did note to him about how the janky paint job could be an indication of poor repairs. Other wise I will make a note to let my friend know too check on the service intervals etc.

Sorry, I don't think he ended up pursuing the deal. I told him to at least go look at it but for whatever reason it fell from his thoughts.
