    Trouble Finding Decent Used WRX

Basically what the title states lol. I can barely find any used WRX that isn't beat to hell or overpriced by $3k+. Especially an 04 to 07 Limited. Mostly I find Bugeyes that have been heavily modded but not safely tune and have seen better days. There are some pricey (and not that nice) Blobeyes but barely any Hawkeyes. Any suggestions?

honestly you just have to be patient. there ARE great, well maintained used subarus out there but it could take a while to find. also, be willing to travel.

if you find one and it is overpriced, don't be afraid to negotiate

If you find a nice one, negotiate on it! People are never going to post a real price, usually they are expecting to be talked down.

    Good luck with the search.

Be patient. My 04 took 2months to work out and the guy ended up driving it to me. Negotiate and cash is king.

I searched for a while for my 2010 wrx. Looked locally, searched endlessly on Craig's list, but finally found some good deals on AutoTrader.

    Good luck!

I'm finding quite a few STi's. But I've heard some STi horror stories. Also the STi is quite a bit more expensive.

Take your time, and trust your senses. If you smell fishes around, walk away without looking back. Temptation is a powerful motivation as much as a powerful foe. Good luck in your search!

Buddy I looked 8 months for mine. I ended up buying a new one. I searched within 200 miles of my location ad all I ever found was what you explained or I would find a unmodded with like 60k miles 4 years older for just about 4k less than a brand new one. After 8 months I finally said screw it and bought a new one. I agree you do have to be patient. But I will say once you find one you have to jump quick. I think a lot of it has to do with where you live. Supply vs Demand. I wish you luck. You do buy one be sure to post it!

Yeah you gotta love the 150k unmodded 2005 WRX's for $15k lol. That much money is STi territory lol.

One good reason I went with the Subaru over the Focus ST.. Resale value.. "if I ever decide to get rid of it" <highly doubtful.. What part of KY are ya from?

I live in Cold Spring right now but might be moving to California (city in KY not the state lol) so definitely looking for something AWD and I've always liked Subarus lol.
