2004 STI 39k mileage. Never hard driven 21k

Title says it all. I stumbled upon a black (limited color with gold flake) sti 2004. Body and paint look mint. Only 39k mileage. The owner is in his mid 40s and says he has never driven it hard or burnt out or raced. Everything seems to be good on the car. My dad is flying out to check it out in a couple of hours. I live in hawaii and he is on a different island. The price is $21k flat. Is it worth buying? The engine looks super clean from the pics as well as the car itself. I'm excited! But will be broke after this .

A car is probably not worth going broke over.

If you can't afford it, its not a good buy.

I dont know if that's a good price, never shopped on Hawaii.

There are no "limited colors" btw. If he is saying Java Black Pearl is limited he is just trying to talk the car up lol

When you say you will be broke do you mean you can barely afford the monthly payments or that you only have $21k to spend?

If you can't afford it monthly then I would say find a less expensive car.

If you can't afford it, don't bother. Yes, that low mileage is a great find on a mint 2004, but also consider this...you'll be paying $21k (plus tax and title to register it) on a car that is over 10 years old. A Brand new WRX with full warranty and will be in a lot nicer condition will only be 4 or 5 grand more...

    2004 + over 10 years = 2013?

    Regardless... still good advice.

But, I'd probably still go for it.

A 2004 was most likely built and purchased originally in 2003. Therefore making it 10 years old

I'd want to see a link to this car before I gave an opinion. But based on your description, if it is true, which who knows if is, it sounds like a nice car.
