    Thoughts on this WRX?

Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and I'm looking to purchase my first WRX as a fun side car. My current DD is a 2005 Acura TL in great condition. I used to own a modded Evo before I got the TL and I really miss driving stick and a forced induction ride.

I reside in the Chicagoland area and found this 2002 WRX:

    2002 Subaru Impreza WRX, $10,991 - Cars.com

I think the price is a bit high. I'd like to pay somewhere in the $8K range for this due to the high mileage, but it also depends on what maintenance has already been done to the car which I should know by tomorrow.

Any thoughts on this specific model?

From the engine bay photo: It's an early car, with the original radiator. It will need the 105K service upon purchase (timing belt service) at a minimum. Nothing else I can tell just from the pictures.
