Changing gear is half the thrill of spirited driving, IMO. Barring any physical disabilities, I can't understand why anyone would want an automatic in a car that was designed to be driven quickly. If you're not interested in driving quickly, why even look at a WRX?

If you want an automatic, buy the one that you already found. If you want a manual, wait until you find the right one and buy it.

The reason it's a "price you can't pass up" is because the resale on an automatic is horrid; no one really is interested in them. I would expect having to take at least a $2K loss on a car with an automatic (vs an identical one in 5M/T form). If your goal is to keep the car forever (or until resale is really low), it may be worth it if you're interested.

That said, I'm a fan of a proper manual gearbox, with three pedals. I wouldn't want any car, let alone a sporty one, to not have that.

Only you can answer this question...

    Manual.

Auto is boring. As EJ said, nobody wants an Auto, that's why the price is as low as "a price that's too good to pass up."

I hate driving autos anymore. I end up using the break with my left foot by accident and cause a pretty quick stop lol

    Tell yourself this:

Do you want control of your car or do you want to be controlled by your car?

That is tough to answer. I am controlled by my car judging by all the parts I bought it & I have a manual.
