I have a 2011 wrx now it is a premium WR blue 4 door with 34,000 miles on it. I orderd a 2013 wrx SWP limited 4 door with nav and STP exhaust and 10 inch sub and auto dim mirror and stp short throw shifter for $30,500 after tax and tags and trade. My trade they are just paying off owe 21,500 on it. It wont be here till late may early june .This seems like a good deal but next model year 2014 I hear WRX will be all new . And maybe better gas mileage more HP . But no one knows for sure do you think I should wait and keep my 2011 wrx and buy a 2014 or get this deal with the SWP 2013 WRX . Thanks !

I'd go with the 2013. Almost everything I've seen states the 2014 are backing down to 2.0L, and I'm not too keen on giving up power for gas mileage - if I wanted something with good mileage, I'd buy a diesel. Plus the 2014 Imprezas I've seen around town are ugly.

Ya the new imprezas are kinda "mom car" looking. And I've seen pics of 2014 concept wrx's and I don't like them. Why do u have to wait till may for it to get one? They have 3 wrxs at my dealership here. Maybe they could ship it from another dealor

smaller displacement doesnt mean less power... also the wrx is no longer part of the impreza although it says impreza, totally differant car. y not just keep your 11? why start over for the same?

Thanks for fast reply no one really knows for sure what new WRX is going to look like but all signs are leading to a all new look for 2014 will not look like the 2013 impreza it will be all new like Crosstrek and BRZ and will lose the impreza name All together and be known as WRX and WRX STI .

Subaru (finally)developed direct injection system. In Japan the Legacy GT's are 2.0 Direct injected turbos.... plenty of power there =)
Just hope I can drop one of those engines in my GD chassis.....

I recognize this, but when you get to tuning the engine and taking it to the peak power levels, there is no replacement for displacement.

Sorry...just have to ask. Why did you order a 2013 WRX when you own a 2011? Essentially the same car.

I wouldn't sell a 2011 and buy a 2013, since they are essentially the same car. It's not like yours is all that old or high mileage, so really all you'd be doing is eating a lot of depreciation on the old car, and then doing it again with the new one.

I strongly suspect that the 2014 WRX is going to be roughly on par with the 2013 in terms of performance. It already offers best in class performance as well as AWD for a competitive advantage against competitors like the Focus ST, Mazdaspeed 3 and GTI. What it lacks compared to some of those cars is interior refinement. So that's what I think we will get in 2014, lots of boring, useless refinement. If I'm right, count me out.

Either way I'd wait. You can always buy a 2013 if the 2014 is 2008 all over again. Maybe even get a discount on one. If the 2014 model is amazing, then you'll be glad you waited.

There is no such thing at this point. At least, there is nothing that public has or can see.
