How many miles is too many

Thinking about getting a wrx, always liked them. Looking at a unmodded 2002 with 156k, is that just too many miles? My 97 gsx is way worse shape wise than my 90 laser with 70k more miles on it. Does it come down to the maintenance or on a impreza is that just too many?

all depends on how it was taken care of. If it was properly serviced then its doubtful anything is wrong w/ it but if its been neglected and half of the service skipped on it then its a crap shoot

as you can see, there are plenty of subaru's out there with higher mileage than that- still going strong

like venom said, it's all about the maintenance
