Talking newb in need of advice!

Hi all! Allow me vaguely introduce myself! I'm Parker from Iowa! Currently enlisted in the us air force as a let engine mechanic. And still fairly new to the scooby scene and extremely new to the world of boost! I currently own a 97 legacy gt. But its time to part ways with that car. I'm looking to get a wrx. And I've always had a soft soot for the bug eyes so I'm dead set on the '03 model year! My only issue is I'm hardly knowledgeable of the powerless EJ25, Let alone the EJ20. so while I'm shopping for a wrx I'm I'm meed of tips of what to look for any common problems that the 03 wrx may have, mechanical issues, suspension issue, anything! I'm trying to find a bone stock one with about 100-150k miles on it. So any advice involving things to watch out for is welcome! Also I'm on about a 5000-6500$ budget, so what kind of quality in a private party or dealership situation can I expect to see in that kind of price range? Thank-you in advance!
