    Since the car is new...

Dealerships have accounts. Make them provide you with one. If they refuse, walk away and go to another.

With something as important as a car purchase, isnt it worth it to spend the 25 bucks?

I'm a nice guy, but Carfax's aren't free. I'm not exactly going to give any I might have away over the internet, and I'd be surprised if anyone else stepped up either. Just buy the 5 pack or whatever, and write it off as the cost of finding a good car.
