Sorry if this has been asked already, but how what is the invoice price of the new 2015 STI limited in manual? (and how much would it be to add the keyless option in ($1500 MSRP)

    Thanks again

I believe that it is what Subaru dealer gets paid from the corporate office. Not something you should worry about.

I see. Good info. Thanks. Did you end up offering with the invoice price or invoice + dest & delivery fee? I feel like I can't avoid the latter

I did get dest and delivery charge, but overall deal was good enough that I did not really care.

Keep in mind guys, the invoice amounts vary slightly by region so dont be surprised if your dealer tells you that the invoice is a bit more or less than that sheet. Given the high demand I do not think any dealer is going to go for paying the destination on an invoice deal but that is to be expected with a WRX/STi really.

Does the dealership earn its money when the a car is ordered, when the VIN is available or when the customer takes delivery? I ask because I have heard that dealers are willing to negotiate more at the end of month or year but if I needed to order a WRX and the dealer doesnt make a dime until I take delivery I guess it doesnt matter when I go, correct?

Yes that is correct, the dealer gets their money after you pick up your car. Same day if it is a cash deal, or if a finance or lease a couple of days later.

Yes, there are three factors with a lease. The sale price, the money factor(like the interest rate on a finance but really it is a rent charge so putting more money down won't make it less like it would if it were a finance), and the residual value(basically the percentage of the car that you are paying for in the lease). The dealer cannot negotiate the money factor or the residual, those two are set by the manufactuer. But they can negotiate the sale price to raise or lower your lease payment.

Not sure because I don't know what you paid or what kind of car... But if the sale price on your lease contract is msrp, then yes you most likely could have paid less.
