With my oldest still needing to be in a booster, there isn't enough room in the back for 2 car seats, and a booster. She loves just about everything about her car. The only regret she has is that she didn't get the 6 cylinder engine.
She's been thinking about trading in her outback for a tribeca. She doesn't want a minivan, and also doesn't want an obnoxiously large SUV. I don't see a lot of tribecas in the road, and there aren't many new or used in dealer inventories.
Hey sorry I don't know why I missed this. Anyway, the Tribeca is very nice, but the gas mileage is going to be rough coming out of a 4 cyl outback... you would be basically giving up 8 mpg just giving you a heads up. I can do $3000 off a tribeca though so maybe that will help offset the fuel costs. They do not lease very well but the rates to buy are good. Give me a call at work and I can go over everything with you, 201-327-0070 x 5211

when placing a factory order, does Subaru provide an order or tracking number? when is that number in the system? How do I know that the order is placed with the factory?

    Thank you,
    Jim

Short answer, no. Subaru's ordering system leaves a lot to be desired. If you live in SOA territory you do at least get a trackable VON, but the information you get is questionable at best and downright unreliable at worst. If you are in SDC territory like I am, there is really no reliable way to track your car whatsoever. I mean I can look in the VMS (vehicle management system) to see what "stage" the car is in, but really can't get much useful info out of it other than stuff like "order accepted", "released to DAI" meaning the car is somewhere in transit, or "DAI processing", meaning it is sitting at the port but its all futile at the end of the day. Honestly, you just need some faith in your dealer and possibly some xanax to make it through the 6-9 weeks it will inevitably take to get your wrx.

I use mobil one when I do my own oil, but Subaru uses their own brand oil (likely it is re branded castrol or mobil anyway) Just use a name brand 5w30 synthetic and buy a bunch of Subaru Filters at your parts dept. You could ask my service guys if you want though, just call 201-327-0070 and ask for Jimmy C. in service he is our guru.

I'm not sure with the 2015 model where it goes, but for 2014 and earlier, it goes on the back of the armrest console thing. It is a bit of a waste of money if you ask me, you can get a better portable power inverter for less money that will actually work with higher wattage devices. Check harbor freight for a good cheap one, that thing was a godsend during hurricane sandy!
