Check if you have glass coverage through your insurance company as a lot of them do cover windshields with zero deductible. Subaru wont cover it though, so you're probably looking at around 2-300 for a new windshield if insurance doesn't cover it. If you have a heated windshield it would be more like 5-700.

PM me since you're local and you can just bring it here... But it really depends on the dealership in question. Most are cool, but some are not. If you unmarry the ap they aren't going to see it unless they really look into the ecu's history or something like that, it is not immediately obvious that it has been cobb tuned so I wouldn't worry about that. Basically, 90% of the time, you're not going to have any issues with the dealer unless your aftermarket parts are what caused the issue. IE you have the 93 octane map installed but are running 91 and getting knock, or your intake relocated the MAF which is causing bad readings. Just find a good local dealer like mine with cool guys, buy them dunkin donuts once in a while and you will be their best friend when something comes up in the future. I've found that guys who purchased the extended warranty tend to have less problems getting things done under warranty, I guess Subaru has a vested interest in fixing their cars so they will buy the plan again next time they buy a Subaru.

Would just like to vouch tremendously for Clayton and ramsey subaru. I took ownership of my 13 SPW STi earlier this month. I contacted him back on December 16, 2012 because I couldn't find a base model STi within a 300 mile radius that would even consider selling a base for any less then 38k. The limited and hatch were 40k+.

Even though I an in middle Tennessee and never met with him, he constantly kept me in the loop, and made the whole process as painless as possible considering all the photocopies and faxing involved. Never any hang-ups or secrecy squirrel b.s. he even threw in some goodies, and just yesterday I received a check from them because I over paid by 150$.....yes you read correctly. The dealership sent me money that I overpaid, without me knowing I had even overpaid.

Unless I went back and looked through my paperwork(I wasn't) I would have not had a clue. Now while 150$ on a 35k dollar investment might seem minuscule, it the principal and integrity that I appreciate. Being a soldier, your not in it for the boatloads of cash, and likewise being a salesman, your paid on what you move, so for them as a dealership to conduct business in such a fair and gentleman like manner, I would strongly recommend Clayton and the folks of ramsey subaru. Even if your a 1000 miles away, as I was, it was well worth it. Thanks again Clayton.

    Daniel.

Just spent a couple of hours catching up on this thread. Good stuff here and extremely informative. I have had my 2013 hatch WRX for about a week now. Traded in my 2010 with light mods. Local dealer did not have any WRXs in stock and their team worked really hard to get one here. Went through 5 dealerships within 300 miles and none of them were interested in doing a dealer trade. Demand is high on WRX but after some serious persistence from my salesmen he finally got one. I almost gave up on the deal. I was also given a fair price for my 2010 which had some minimal cosmetic defects and a windshield that needed replacement. They sold my car in about 2 days.

Anyways, no question here to post just want to confirm that there are some good people that work for Subaru, its obvious that Clayton is one of them, and don't let the bad ones get you down. I was so thankful for what my sales team did that I took em out for a round of golf. Hopefully I can stay tight with the service department as I plan to take my new WRX to Surgeline Cobb in Portland, Oregon for some new goodies.

Princeton isn't that far, I went to Rider university and used to make the trip every other week, it's pretty much a straight shot, just go up 206 to 287N and take exit 66 (rt 17 south) and we are like 3 miles down once you're on 17.
