I have a hard time with a downpipe and a pro tune picking up 50+whp..

..not that it can't happen, mind you.. Just... wow.

I get that alot, but this is the only subaru I have owned so i thought it was normal. I have dyno sheets. I gained 45 whp and 85 wtq. they pumped the boost up to 18.5 pounds, adjusted the air/fuel ratio and timing, and wollah!! almost 300whp and 340wtq

it is!!! the 340hp and 380 is accurate too. It's what the motor is making. The almost 300 and 340 is the actual power at the wheels. makes for a fun ride!

2008 WRX STI = 34k

Exterior Mods = 6k

Engine mods = 5k

Interior mods = 5k

Total 50k

My mom and dad's first house was 65k in Northern California.

My WRX (21k) and My Wife's Minivan (18k) and my Motorcycle (5k) still cost less than an STI with "Killer Mods".

What really gets me is that when you sell the car, you do not get that money back at all, and if you wreck it, say good bye to all the money sunk into the car. Maybe I am getting old, but it makes less sense to spend so much money on mods, at least when you buy a Vette for around 50k, you get something amazingly fast that retains it's value. Am I getting old? Is 28 years old? I must be, did I just say what I said?

Scratch it. Mods rock because you get to install them and watch and feel the performance increase each time you change something. Ya, mods are cool.
