    UPDATE! I drove the bugeye today because the STi is in the middle of an Opticoat treatment! 1.5 coats on already, I'll finish coat 2 tonight and probably be done
    2015 CWP WRX STi ... But how did I get roped back into an EJ motor?!

    Actually yes. I realized I prefer the powerband in the 2.0L. Either that or I just have modified the bugeye to the way I like it

    We need a bigger turbo on the 2.5L to slightly shift the powerband to the right some.

    You are correct, sadly. I think this motor would be happiest with a 49 lb/min turbo like the Dom1.5xtr or FP Green HTA. The internals, however, do not support that theory.

    It'd be happier with a rotated setup...if you're going above a 20G, there is little/no reason to stick with stock-location.
