This is a discussion on EugeneUtopia's 2010 FXT Project within the Builds forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; This thread is awesome. I was just today thinking I've never seen a modded, newer-gen Fozzy. Thanks for the writeup!!...

Been a while getting back to the site here. Got the FMIC done and made some decent power gains. Also had the clutch replaced. Going to have the brakes done next.

Great work. I'd be very interested in knowing what brakes you get. It's the first big mod I want to do to our XT.

I'm retaining and painting the original calipers, getting a GrimmSpeed Master Cylinder Brace, DBA 4000 Series T-Slot Slotted front and rear rotors, GoodRidge Stainless Steel Brake Lines on the Front/Rear and Hawk HPS Front Brake Pads all around. Fairly inexpensive and since the XT OEM bits are WRX bits, this will get STI or better level of performance. Prettier calipers with a few more pots will be nice, but since this is my DD, I think it'll look good and brake better.

Man, awesome build! You know i've always known about the FXT's, but never really thought about them as a "performance" car like the wrx's and sti's until i went to the Ocean City AWD meet a couple years ago and saw a mean XT. Now, from reading this i may consider a FXT with a few bolt ons as a fun DD once i get the wrx paid off. Keep up the great work.

I can't believe I'd never seen this thread until now! Really awesome build!!!

The Fiancee wants a Forester XT as our family hauler when the time comes.

Any vids of runs other than the dyno run?
