    Bugeyemania's Build 2002 WRX

So ill pretty much be making this page to keep progress of my build. hopefully i can attract the attention of many of you around the forum and along the way be provided with tips and pointers.
let me first start off by saying this is by far the best car i have ever own up until now and i think i may be w subaru for the rest of my life...... ok enough with all that.

    Here are the Specs:
    the car is 1000% stock
i am the second owner of this 2002 WRX
    126,000 miles
    bout it for 6k
$1.6k in new parts prior to my purchase and all service records to prove it.
timing belt/pump included in those repairs.

i will post pictures of the vehicle later tonight.

first mod WILL be the catless uppipe by either Grimmspeed or Invidia...
really stuck on which one to choose because i like the grimm but i hear good things about invidia (besides the apparent price difference)
^^ALL OPINIONS AND EXPERIENCE ON THIS TOPIC IS ENCOURAGED SEEING I PLAN ON PURCHASING THE ITEM AS EARLY AS TOMORROW MORNING

for those of you who will subscribe and provide me with positive feedback, thanks in advance..

Thats pretty much it for now..

wow sounds like you got a great deal.

have you thought about searching for a used 06-07 wrx or 04-07 sti uppipe? they come catless from the factory and are probably cheaper than buying a name brand one

    UPDATE:
Just went ahead and ordered my new up-pipe by Grimmspeed and Opted-Out of the ceramic coating. Also bought the new gaskets for both ends.
Looking forward to the PIMA install.

EDIT: Grimmspeed is on backorder to the end of this month at the earliest so now im really just trying to figure out where to go next.. any suggestions?

The ceramic coating would be the only reason to buy a brand name pipe over a gutted stock pipe or an Sti pipe. Get header wrap and wrap the new one to get the most benefit from it.

I didn't trust myself gutting out my stock one and/or really have the time to do it.

    Now for future thought....
Woke up this morning trying to figure this question out and I have been all over from sound clips to The FAQ. Catted vs Catless DP. Someone please share their experience w either one. Sound, Cabin noise? I want my car to sound clean, not obnoxious.

The 02-03 WRX is notoriously noisey. There are a lot of ways to fix most of that. Do you plan to do any upgrades in the stereo department?

    Pics are loved!

By noisy are you talking about the exhaust note or the cabin noise? And i'm on the fence about upgrading my stereo. i already have subs and door speakers that i could swap out but i spend more time listening to the engine instead of actually listening to my music.
Ive already considered selling my subs.

Ceramic coating isn't necessary, but you should absolutely wrap the UP before installing.
2015 CWP WRX STi ... But how did I get roped back into an EJ motor?!

Thank you for the heads up. I made an executive decision and just bought the regular uppipe. I will look into wraps later today, any recommendations?
