I have yet to see a planned job take the time it's supposed to take and just be done, like that. It's never that simple, right?

I LOVE it when people point out what's not stock on my car cool!
I've no record of whatever past owners might have added/modified, so I don't know every detail of it (yet.)
Wish I could tell you what it's called and where it came from or how much it cost.
I can tell you that the front of those pieces are rock-chipped the heck up, and the car paint just above it too. Glad they're there.

For the '04, the manual doesn't differentiate between the wagon & the sedan for that part, the body panel / wheel well is the same.
Someone else'll have to answer you for the '02 though, no idea.

Update! The shoop's in the bodyshop for rust removal and roof paint.

I thought there was just a bit of rust above the driver's side windshield
Thought I'd get ahead of it, take care of it before it progressed any further.
Event the bodyshop had suggested touching it up instead and waiting til next spring...

Windshield came off successfully () and it turns out the whole frame along the top was rusted, dude said he was surprised I didn't have any leaks coming thru. SO glad I insisted.

First two are the 'before' pix, a deceptive little patch

And here the entire top of the frame has been sanded (ground) down

Seems all the WRXs are out today. I feel like the kid who's home in a cast.

Aww not so bad. I have to drive around for a week with green painters tape holding my glass together in the left rear window. Does that make me the kid with taped glasses then? lol

I'm pretty sure that's a stock piece on '02-'05 cars. wagons included. Looks to be a similar, but body colored piece there on the hawkeyes.

The brochure scans here seem to indicate the wrx came with black side skirts and the sti had a different style side skirt that was painted.

As a side note, the last page mentions the standard 16" wheels the '02-'05 models came with but the pictures of the wrx clearly show some nice BBS wheels. Anyone know what the story is with those wheels? One question answered and another to take it's place.
