Ok bare with me. This is a slow build. Will not be Stage 2+ for another year or two. I will slowly be piecing it together till than.
I have a 2013 DGM WRX Hatch that I purchased in December of 2012. It has a 6 year 120k warranty.
So far the only mods I have done are rally armor mud flaps and cobb short shifter.
I also have the front and rear bushings just have not installed them yet.
Next "mod" will be tinted windows and overlay'd taillights.
Future Mods:
Cobb Intake
Cobb AP
Invidia full exhaust
rotated turbo
fuel injectors
fuel pump
and more...
Will get mud flap pics once I clean her up and straighten the back flaps.

For major engine mods, yes I will wait. Maybe not 6 years or 120k miles but I got a hell of a deal on the warranty. I can go to stage two and not worry too much about wrecking anything engine wise
On top of that...I highly suggest you don't try and put a rotated setup on a car with 120k miles, unless you're planning on completely tearing down the engine and putting in new components...Originally Posted by Rambo

Maybe I will just skip the rotated turbo until I can afford a 2nd vehicle
You can always get your money back for the warranty. If you decide in a year that you won't need it (because you will be voiding it anyway), just contact your dealer you purchased the vehicle from and they will write you a check for the amount you paid for the warranty.

It would be cool to have a shifter boot cover that just goes flat across so you could see the blue shifter...I wonder if anyone has done that...
Yeah im not sure why they mae the shifter such a sweet looking color just to hide it by a boring boot
I had a custom shift boot made that lays flat. Im trying to upload a pic but it seems the server change may have a few bugs yet.
Find a low-mileage one-owner unmodified '04/'05 and you're golden.
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall.
Torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Didn't mean that as "if you mod you will be voiding you warranty" but more as "if you do a mod that will void you warranty, you might as well get it refunded"

I was informed that I could do most mods and not worrk about the warranty. I realize that the rotated turbo would void it almost definately.
The rotated turbo is more of a dream at this point. I have a friend who is going to tune it to stage 1 sunday... hopefully get those bushings installed as well
