    2004 wrx wagon build...250whp goal!

I recently purchased a 2004 wrx wagon with a few little bolt-on mods. (Magnaflow cbe, Greddy bov, front strut tower brace, and a Greddy tt "turned off").

I would like to keep it as my dd, but also would like get a little more power out of her. I am looking for around 250-280whp out of her.

I know i need to get a down-pipe on her asap, I am also wanting to get a good set of coil overs to get a good stance.

What are some of your suggestions for getting my goal power output as well as suspension upgrades?
Ill be putting up some pictures up under the hood and of the car here pretty soon as well.

thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Depending on the dyno, 240-250whp is doable on the stock turbo with pump gas. If you want to get above that, you're looking at significantly more out of pocket expense.

I'm not an advocate for coilovers on a street-driven vehicle. You can get a strut/spring setup that offers 98% of the features a typical owner would use on coilovers, while at the same price point, riding and handling better.

Coil overs???? So you would suggest doing say a set of lowering springs? I really am just looking for the aesthetics. And that would be perfect as far as power. I would rather not start replacing bigger parts... Until they break... But 240-250 would be awesome. Now how do i get there? Im a total noob on subaru's. please help!

TBE, 3-port EBCS, uppipe (if you don't already have one), good TMIC, and a professional tune. . That's as far as you're going to want to go power wise for simplicity sake.

Unless the car is mostly a track rat (at which point, you're stupid for keeping the stock turbo), springs are a better purchase than coilovers. You'll need to replace your struts (wear item) while you're there, but you choose them based on what you want from a spring. How much of a drop are you looking for?

Again, it depends on the dyno. A custom StageII tune (which, in your case is uppipe, downpipe, reflash) would be what you'd need. Tell us what dyno you're looking to hit your #s on, and we can give you a better idea what you need to get there.

I think the response indicates 2" is too much. I'd look at less than 1" (and I'd avoid using " at all, I'd use cm, but that's another story).

Low isn't all that great when it comes to improving the car's dynamics.
