It doesn't "suck" air to begin with. If it's purely for looks, retain your stock splitter. Utilizing a JDM STi splitter with your stock intercooler will not allow the trim to seal, leading to poorer cooling capacity than stock.

Ahh, I guess suck was definitely the wrong term there! Didn't mean it that way, but anyways thanks for the advice. I'm still going to look into the JDM scoop because I just love that look. Good thing to know I don't have to look for a splitter as well. Thanks again!

Grimmspeed up pipe. Orignally purchased invidia uppipe but it was in bad shape from manufacturer so seller replaced it with new grimmspeed uppipe for no cost.

Nice. Given that it's not ceramic coated, I would highly recommend you wrap the UP in heat-retaining material. The UP is the LAST place you want to lose exhaust energy.

Make sure you soak the wrap in water before wrapping. If you use a wrap like DEI Titanium that utilizes lava rock, let it dry and you're done! If you use standard fiberglass wrap, make sure to spray it in silicone retention spray to keep the wrap from dry-rotting.
