Your luck is insane. If it helps, my WRX has a reputation as being a Frankenblock too. P.O. did in for two motors, I did in for one, and finally got this one built right. It now has more use on it than the previous three combined. Hopefully you have similar luck

Nah dude, don't let the problems I'm having discourage you from building yours. It's not very often that things like this happen with these cars. The motor are actually quite simple in my opinion (coming from a guy who has never built one lol). But from what I've seen during my build, as long as everything is done properly, you'll be fine. Just take it from me, when you choose to build your car, do your research! Not just research on parts and what not, but research on who's building your car, the reputation of the shop, the mechanics, etc. Don't get me wrong, the guys who are building my car are great guys and are very good mechanics. Are they the best, no, but they do know what they are doing, they just predicting a lot of things for me that didn't quite turn out the way we wanted. So like I said, make sure your 100% confident in who's building your car, otherwise, build it yourself lol.

Damn that's terrible. At least they are kind of "warrantying" it and helping you out with that.

Where is it being built again?

Yeah that's the reason why I'm staying with them, because they are doing somewhat of the right thing. Plus I don't want to bring my problems to another shop who isn't familiar with my car. Nightshift Performance. It's local to me.

So Wiseco pistons were on back order so I went with CP's. They were delivered fairly quick and I'm happy with them.

Still waiting on cams. On backorder til the last week of January. Once they're in, another few days of assembly and the car should be done. Hopefully early February.
