straight pipe?

I have a 2003 wrx wondering how everyone feels about a straight pipe on our cars. i have a borla factory looking cat back and i just dont like it. anyone?

Without a muffler? Its going to be loud as all hell. Lots of people go catless on the downpipe but going without a muffler serves no real purpose other than to be loud for the most part.

thats what i have now but i feel like its not loud at all an i dont have a cat ...i was just wondering if its just stupid loud or sounds good

Everyone has their own sense of "sounds good" and "loud". In my opinion, it'll be too loud for everyday driving use.

I have a cutout I can open if needed. I will tell you, it IS stupid loud. I wouldn't say it sounds bad, but just cruising on the highway is so loud you can't hear the radio or anything, it drones like hell. I never open it because it's so loud I feel like a complete ass just driving around town. I also have an EWG with a dump pipe that is pretty loud too, the difference is, it only opens when I get on it, so I don't feel like a jerk all the time..
