No, you're right. But it's the mentality that is troubling. The OP will be fine with driving a stage2 bugeye without a tune simply due to the latency in the closed loop and open loop transition. However, this has started to become unnerving with the recent members installing turbos and the like with no tune. The OP should be under the mentality that if you modify the motor to change the airflow in any way, you should tune car.

Wouldn't you need to tune with all that?
Only for the intake I'd think. If the intake remains stock the car should be OK.

I concur. I'd put the stock intake back on until tune time. The downpipe should be ok for now, but I'd still tune post-haste.

I dont have one yet (getting mine in a month) but go to their website, find your 2002 wrx, and then select stage 1 (if no downpipe), and then the octane you use... 91, 93, or if in California, Arizona, Nevada use ACN91.. also select what intake you have... for 2002 it is either Stock or the Cobb SF Intake.

you can have more than 1 map loaded on the Accessport.. So you can install all 3, then flash the one you want/need.. (If you normally go 93, but are on a trip and only 91 is available.. etc.)

Sweet bugeye...I love mine. The Cobb ap is deff the way to go. You can hold up to something like 20 maps on it, so useful to monitor sensors if you don't have gauges.
