I wish I went 20% on mine... but I went with 35%.. This was 4.5 years ago so now it's definitely lighter..

I'm rarely ever in Chicago so I'm not too worried about it. I really don't understand how Chicago can have a different law than Illinois when it comes to something like tints...
Yeah, 20% is pretty dark on an unlit street at nite. You have to be really careful pulling around turns because if something, or someone is there, you won't see them. This makes it especially difficult during the winter time.Originally Posted by 96accord

This! If I wasn't so cheap I would get the 35% taken off and put 25% on

I am now regretting my 20 %.
It is hard to see in the dark especially when it rains. Besides LEOs have tint meters & I can get fix-it tickets at any time if I drive into the city..

Looks good, I'll be interested in seeing the 35% tint. I'm on the fence myself re: tint. 35% just looks too dark for my taste from outside looking in (I know I'm in the minority here). In addition, the 40% ceramic looks too grey/silver, mine is black.
Has anyone checked with a light meter, post-tint? It is my understanding that any tint on the window, from factory, will bump the 35% to a lower number. Which could put you over the edge with the law. The tint guy I spoke with agreed, and said there is a 5% leeway. I'm not buying that.
