Plug the fuel pump in the harness and don't put it in the tank. Have someone turn the key for you and see if you see it spinning.

After looking at the install photos again. Really close this time. Something looked out of place and I couldn't remember it.

In the install on the fuel pump there looked to be a plastic stopper and a rubber o ring. I couldn't remember swapping out anything. So I started second guessing everything.

I ran home on my lunch and tore it apart AGAIN. Only to find out the fuel pump itself only have a oring on it, no plastic stopper. I looked on the DW pump, no plastic piece. And I know I didn't misplace it. So either it never had one or the shop didn't put it back on.

Maus?

Id drive up there, and go straight back to the shop. Parts/sales folks are typically useless with little things like this. Then again, the techs at my dealer service know me...

I hope were in the clear. I'm still going to try to find that plastic stopper, since it was designed to be there. I feel like so much weight was lifted off my shoulders.

You might want to perform a compression test on the motor just in case. Fuel pump on performing it's duty = less fuel injected = lean condition.
Will do man. I'll start looking at the "how to"

I don't fully agree with this conclusion. Specifically, I think your DW pump was fine, but just wasn't properly sealed (because it was missing the plastic stopper/sleeve + o-ring from stock pump). Wasn't that the DW I heard priming in that video?
