CFLip2x 2012 WRB Build

I decided to start a build with progress and mods I have done to my car.

Placed the order Jan 12th 2012.

They did have 2011 Silver WRX

though if I was going to get a new car I might was well order her the way I want it.

While waiting for the car I helped my friend pick up his 06 STI at The Shop in CT



My car eventually came in on the 27th and my salesman (Clayton Subaru Ramsey) sent me of a pic letting me know.

They SPT wasn't installed so they had to order it which was fine since the earliest I was able to pick up the car was Friday.

Decided to start eating away at the 1000 mile break in period


The weather was forecast said rain was coming I was disjointed not getting a good picture when she was still clean and new. Though my father told me that every car he ever got it rained and he has had good luck so maybe it was a plus.

I should have ordered Rally Armours before picking up the car.



I ordered the first mod to the car on 3/6 it was a TI Shift knob from Chris at WC Lathe Werks


I received the shift knob two days later (it helped being also in NJ). I did email him about possible making one without the little stem though he did let me know it would be better with it. I decided go with his suggestions and he was correct. I had it done with a blue to purple fade and two groves around the bottom.

Decided to debadge the trunk since it was nice and warm it might make it a little easier. I use floss and goo gone.



Finally hit 1000


The Rally Armors came in later that week




My SMYCluster Oil pressure and Boost gauges went in on the 17th (before any drinking)


Picked up some Plasti Dip the next week


3/19 the plates came in so it was no longer new


3/23 It was time to pain the wheels BBS gold

3/26 I had an auto dimming mirror I had used on my old car but I needed and adapter plate to make it fit





One of my coworkers told me her caw was just as blue...im not to sure about that

This week its time to upgrade my speakers (even though most people upgrade the HU first)
I plan to mount my amp under the seat. The Polk tweeters needed to be removed from the plastic housing before they fit into the stock locations.

Also decided to take off the bumper and add a mesh grill to the bottom.




Taking the bumper off also gave me a chance to look and see how the ARM intake may fit and possible chances of hydro lock. Im am still unsure weather to go Cobb or AEM but I need to buy an access port first so saving up. Im still unsure because with the AEM I could eventually go front mount but with the Cobb I would have the nicer look and even if i go front mount um sure someone would be more then happy to buy a used one.

Thanks I had a leftover microfiber bag from some apple gift cards and slip that over when its been a cold night or sitting out in the sun. Even though it was expensive I feel it was worth it. I cant tell the difference with it being heavier then the stock. Some people say they can shift quicker.

Im not really planning any performance mods. Im more then happy with the car. If I can get an Access Port for cheap then maybe plan stage 1+ but since I have a 45min commute each way I would need a stereo upgrade. Im ok with the stock head unit looking for a Pioneer P4400 or P8400

Yeah that's what people tell me. I came from a 1994 Firebird V6 at the same time luckily it was the V6 the engine was still running at over 220,400. So even a stock WRX is an upgrade. I always have my Z1000 if I want a little more go.

I have a FMIC with my AEM intake. It can work.
