Is there a cliffs notes available for Calvinballs posts?
Here's what I got from it.
"I like Calvin and Hobbs and own a blue 2011-12 WRX."
For srsly though, congrats dude!
Simple things can help with braking...first thing's first, new pads. I like Hawk HPS pads for a great initial bite. But I know a lot of people around here will stand by Ferrodos. Relatively "cheap" mod for much better braking response. But again, give it some time to get used to the car.
And yeppers...short shifter and some bushings will greatly improve your transmission feel. I know it's tough coming from the buttery smooth 6spd of an RSX...them and TSXs/Accord V6s/TL 6spds all are some of the best feeling transmissions I've ever experienced.
Be glad you have a car that can handle rough bumps and such...my STI is living hell on anything but smooth tarmac. I really need new struts![]()

Haha, perhaps I should hire you to be the official "cliff noter". I tend to be long winded.
The brakes I think I'm fine with. I think when I test drove I just wasn't putting the pedal down much, so in comparison to the instant bite I had going in my RSX, it felt squishy. But now that I have the car, the brakes feel pretty strong, it's just more progressive. So yeah, probably when I need to replace pads I'll put some HPS's on, but it's fine for now![]()
