I'm currently building my 02 WRX wagon into an auto x car as well as an occasional track day car. This is gonna be done on a fairly strict budget and wont be a stripped down racer but a weekend track toy that can also run and get groceries(since it is a wagon). This car is pretty much to allow me to auto x and road course and become a better driver as I build my 95L into a full blown time attack car.

Sounds like you have a nice project going. Good luck. I have a question about your calipers. Did the calipers need torn apart in anyway to get done? I do understand they had to be taken off the car. LOL

Thx man. Yes they need to be torn apart and remove the pistons and all seals.

Are your sway-bar sizes listed backwards?

Hey man, whats your opinion on those 4/2 pot brakes in terms of feel and stopping power?
And no A/O separator?
Mycologist no they are not backwards. And uedan they stop great and have great pedal feel with my Perrin mc brace. No a/o separator planned yet havnt decides which brand I wanna go with.

I don't know from personal experience, but that is opposite from most Autox recommendations and the rear is way large for track use.
JR had some decent titles, and a ton of knowledge on this:

The issue is the wagon due to the narrow track width. Not too many people make bigger front sways for the wagons. So for auto x I'm looking at the adjustable 22mm fsb and thinking it will be set on full stiff. And use the rear 27mm to possibly be able to induce snap oversteer if needed for tight 180*s if there are any. For track days im looking into staying with stock rear. This is of course all just a general idea and I will have to sort out as I go and see how the car reacts. I also have a cusco 21mm non adjustable fsb from my old gc as I've read should bolt up since it's the same track width. I might go with the 21mm/17mm for now till I can afford sti lca's and then have more options for my front sway. If I do go that route which I probably will as long term goal is track days I'll prob pick up the sti lca's next year and go with a 24mm adj/22mm non adj.

I'd go with an adjustable 24mm; you can set it to 22, 24, or 26.Originally Posted by 012.5RS
I'd also recommend a larger front vs rear. Snap oversteer isn't something I want (I've seen it cause too many problems).

Yea im kinda going back and forth in my head. It's just one of those things u gotta figure out by testing. I think I've decided to see if my cusco fsb will bolt up and if it does go with that till I can pick up some sti lca's instead of spending money twice.
