Looking to mildly build up a 2002

New to this forum im pretty familiar with all the diesel stuff and its too dang expensive to work on em so Im looking at a different platform to make a mild drag racer and weekend warrior... Goal will be running somewhere in the 7s in 1/8 mile. Looking at a couple different 01-02 stock wrx manual. Wondering about how fast in 1/8 they are stock about what type of mods and appx cost to get it where im wanting to be? Also any points in the right direction of places to buy, brand names, supporting mods, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Darin

RallySportDirect is a great place to buy from. Check out their site.
