Long week at work, but finally getting **** together for the car and sipping a Little Sumpin' Sumpin' makes things better.

Got an email from Clint @ TiC with a tracking number for my replacement lateral links. Looks like they will be here Tuesday. Apparently these ones will have a significantly thicker "ring" that holds the bushing and stronger/thicker welds as well. Pictures to come when I get em'.

Also received my wheel spacers, which come packaged with wheel studs. I wanted ARP's regardless, but just figured I could at least see how they compare.

    Kits

Comparison between an ARP & an Ichiba stud.

Not only does the ARP have more thread and a nice knurl to help get the lug started on the threads, the forging looks SIGNIFICANTLY better. I would be ok running these, but I'm sticking with the ARP so it's a once and done kind of deal. So if anyone needs studs, let me know.

Now to decide if I just want to pick up some sedan hubs to make the swap easier...

Got these in today along with my fender flares, which I haven't opened yet. I will start getting those fitted up soon, just need to get the car fixed first! Fingers crossed I don't break these...

Probably wait till the weekend to jump on my neighbors lift and change them out. Not looking forward to swapping bushings over...

Reminder to all of you in the philly region who are interested, registration opens in 10 days!!!

Are you still planning on coming?

I have gotten jack **** done in the past week. My neighbors lift is outside, so being the spoiled kid I am, I'm waiting for the rain to subside so I can jump on there and start swapping the lateral links out.

I'll also be attempting to do the extended wheel stud install without taking the hubs apart...so we will see how lucky I am. Maybe I should buy a set of bearings just to be on the safe side...

So I came to the conclusion that I can no longer wait for the luxury of a lift and air tools to get the car back up and running. I'm hell bent on running the autox on June 29th & 30th, so I grew a pair and got to work in the driveway tonight.

First order of bidness was going to Advanced and grabbing a new motorcycle battery since I've killed mine so many times, it ain't holdin a charge no mo'. Got the battery popped in, moved the car up on some blocks, then disconnected the rear swaybar. So tomorrow I'll get the car up in the air and start pulling the lateral links. If I can get them all pulled and the bushings swapped over, I should be able to get them back in on Friday, with some spare time to start putting the rear ARP studs in.

Now if only some people around here would grow a pair and show up on the 29th or 30th....

link to which battery? i recently picked up one for my bike (which is now sold ) but wondered if it was the same one. What do you look for when getting a new battery? has to be minimum cranking power that the car needs? anything else?

From what I've seen, most people who DD a light weight battery will go with a Deka ETX20:

    Magnapower/Powersport AGM battery (ETX20L) | Motorcycle and Power Sport Battery | AutoZone.com

At a minimum, I would want ~300 CCA, but this battery is also very popular:

    Odyssey PC680-P Battery : Amazon.com : Automotive

I went with a ETX16 which is a bit smaller, lower CCA, but I have no electronics aside from gauges anymore. Just don't forget to buy M6 -> SAE battery post adapters. You can get them from Summit, Jegs, etc. Also, from what I've heard, you'll have better results with battery life if you relocate it to the interior, but to each their own.

Let me know what battery you have laying around, chances are it will probably work, at least during the summer.
